On this device

New in 1.2.0. Download a curated MLX model from Meta, Qwen, or Phi. Choose Fast, Balanced, or Strongest. The On This Device provider runs that chat on the iPhone, with no API key.

Your key, any model

Paste a key and use OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, OpenRouter, or a custom endpoint. Switch models when a better one shows up. You are not locked to one provider, and you do not need an OpenChat account to do it.

Same app, honest split

History, rules, memory, and skills are stored on the device. Web search is optional and uses your own search key. On-device chats are not sent to a cloud model. A keyed chat goes straight to the provider you picked. OpenChat has no backend and no analytics.
